Parents as Deliverance Ministers

Revelation 12:12 tells us that satan knows that he has a short time to operate on earth; hence, he is doing everything he can to take as many people as he can to the lake of fire with him. Anyone with eyes can see that demonization of humans has intensified globally. I used to be a fan of a YouTube influencer from Sweden who analyses current affairs. Some weeks ago, man produced a video titled, “Europe is Returning to its Pagan Roots”. Initially, I thought he posted the video to condemn the practice. When I started watching it, I realised that the man was excited about the fact that paganism was thriving on the continent. I promptly unsubscribed from his channel. This just goes to show how entrenched the devil is in Western culture and society and why it is important for believers in Jesus Christ to be sensitive to the leading and promptings of the Holy Spirit in these end hours.

       How does paganism in the West affect the rest of the world? The United States of America, which happens to be the most influential nation in the West, has become the channel of demonic pollutions, especially sexual perversion. In fact, America appears to be in a hurry to recreate Sodom and Gomorrah. Even its government is neck deep in the pollution process by directly funding gender reassignment and promoting same sex marriages, as well as murder of innocent infants in the womb and at birth. Many public libraries in that country are stocking books glorifying sodomy and the likes. This demon inspired cultural outlook is being exported to other countries through television and cable networks such as Disney and Netflix.

       Given the intensity of the demonization process, it is important that parents learn to screen television and social media programmes to protect their children from polluting influences. In addition, they need to be aware of their spiritual authority to enable them minister deliverance to their kids when the need arises. Ideally, children suffering from any form of demonic infestation should be ministered to by the church. However, parents who are filled with the Holy Spirit can cast out demons from their children in the home setting. The most important thing is for them to explain the process to their kids and be sure that they are baptised with the Holy Spirit as well. The reason is simple. Nobody is qualified for deliverance except he or she is born again.

       The Lord explained in Mathew 12:45 that when a demon is cast out of a person, it roams around for a while and returns with seven other spirits more wicked than itself to occupy the person if the body was left vacant without the Holy Spirit. It is therefore vitally important that anyone requiring deliverance must first renounce satan and confess Jesus Christ as Lord to open the door for the Holy Spirit to secure the “house” before the deliverance session begins. On no account should parents compel their adult children to undergo deliverance if they are not ready or willing to be delivered from the hands of the devil. In such cases, the parents should focus on interceding for them until they willingly submit themselves for deliverance. In the case of minors, parents have absolute authority to cast out the demons from them.

        Many resources online can serve as a guide for deliverance within the church setting and at home. However, discretion and discernment are essential in sifting the wheat from the chaff as agents of darkness also use online platforms to propagate their falsehoods.

           The key is for parents to identify the doors through which demons entered their kids. In most cases, evil spirits operate through bloodlines or generational curses. Parents should spend time with the Lord in prayer to receive revelations on how to cast out the demons. There is no substitute for the power of the Holy Spirit in deliverance operations. Satan and his demons know that they lost the battle eternally on the Cross of Calvary. They have nothing to hold on to any man or woman who has embraced God’s mercy in Christ. The fight may intensify as the deliverance process begins but victory is sure because Jesus Christ is Lord over all realms, principality and power. Exercise your God given authority and join forces with the Holy Spirit to set your children free from all demonic bondage and influences.
