cover Potpourri

The focus of this month’s potpourri segment is God’s holiness. According to late Derek Prince, a renowned Bible teacher, the word “holy” losses its meaning outside of God. In fact, 1 Samuel 2:2 declares that only God is holy. So, what is the Father’s demand on us as His children in this regards?

He clearly said in several chapters and verses in Leviticus, “Be ye holy, for I the LORD your God am holy (Leviticus 11:44; Leviticus 11:45; Leviticus 19:2; Leviticus 20:26; Leviticus 21:8). Lest anyone argue that these verses were directed at Israelites alone, Peter echoed it in 1 Peter 1:16; while the Lord Jesus Christ alluded to it in Mathew 5:48 when He said, “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” According to

Mike Bickle, founder of the International House of Prayer, “True holiness can only come through a love relationship with the God we enjoy.” Unfortunately, false conversions in some churches have created Christians who abhor holiness.

They claim to love God but are still enticed by sin and satan. Holiness is the nature of God, just as sin is the nature of satan. So, how can one claim to be a child of God and still cuddle sin? Personally, my greatest desire is to partake of God’s holiness. This should be the desire of every Christian. Enjoy the compilation.
