Forgiveness
Recently, we had a chat with a young girl in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city. We were of the view that the Lord’s command for us to love our enemies was challenging because our flesh is always seeking revenge. When we asked her how she is able to deal with such situations, we got an amazing response that should be the guiding principle of all believers in Christ.
She explained that forgiving one’s enemies is the right thing to do because everyone deserves a second chance. Forgiveness is something we owe all humans; it is the key that sets us free from the destructive emotion of revenge. In this segment, we present the viewpoints of people across all ages that successfully conquered the demon of hatred and set themselves free from its prison.
