Potpourri - Grace of God

Potpourri – Grace of God: The grace of God is unarguably the most abused concept in Christendom. Most people hide under it to commit all sort of atrocities. This was even evident during the early church, prompting Jude to pen verse 4 of his letter: “For there are some men who secretly crept in, who were marked long ago for this condemnation. They are ungodly men, who pervert the grace of our God into immorality and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.”

No verse in both the Old or New Testament that defines the word grace. However, 2 Corinthians 12:9 and Titus 2:11 tell us what grace does – it enables us to overcome the flesh, satan, and sin, as we work out the salvation that God has worked into us (Philippians 2:12). Grace is divine enablement or empowerment dispensed to believers by the indwelling Holy Spirit, not a licence for us to commit immorality. Enjoy the compilation.
