Potpourri – Sin: At the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve had everything they needed for pleasurable living. They were not under stress in any form or shape. That was until they succumbed to the deception of the devil and rebelled against God’s authority, just as their tempter had done eon years earlier.
With the pleasurable lifestyle gone after God sent them out of the Garden, they had to fend for themselves by tilling the ground. Hard work comes with stress and the burden of uncertainty.
Where they had secured provisions from God, they now had to use their own ingenuity to provide for themselves. Thousands of generations later, humanity is still suffering from the effect of the disastrous decision by Adam and his wife to choose satan over God.
Sin, the word used to describe man’s rebellion in the Garden, has developed many branches over time, with each generation trying to outdo its predecessor. Sin constitutes a heavy load, which many of us are unable to carry.
Humanity does not have the capacity to remove the weight of sin crushing the soul, and sometimes the body. Only the Cross of Christ can remove this heavy weight. The compilation presents different viewpoints on the subject matter. Be blessed!
