Repentance is a key requirement for humans to receive God’s redemption in Christ, a theme that runs through both the Old and New Testaments. Repentance is not just feeling sorry for sins committed against God. It is doing a 180 degree turn from darkness to light; from death to life. Let us assume that the Kingdom of God is in the North, and that of the devil in the South.
A person that has genuinely repented of his sins would not find anything attractive in the South, which represents darkness. He would do everything possible to flee from satan’s pollution. Sadly, many “Progressive” churches are preaching against repentance, because according to them, it exposes people to guilt! Ridiculous, isn’t it?
Jesus and His early disciples preached repentance (Matthew 4:17; Acts 3:19; Revelation 2:21; 2 Corinthians 12:21). John the Baptist preached similar message (Matthew 3:1-12). How is it possible for these charlatans to tamper with the word of God and still have large followers?
